Manchester City in mix for 22-year-old midfielder – Udinese rising star on agenda

Arthur Atta has impressed in Serie A this season for Udinese. The midfielder is now said to be attracting interest from Manchester City.

So far in the campaign, the Frenchman has played 11 times in the league. He has a goal and two assists to his name. As well as operating in central midfield, he’s also played on the right flank and in attacking midfield.

Tuttomercatoweb believe the 22-year-old can make the leap to a major club next summer. They note that Barcelona and Manchester City are ‘closely monitoring’ the Rennes-born Udinese star.

Scouts from Napoli and Juventus have kept a close eye on Atta in recent weeks. Both AC Milan and Inter Milan have also enquired about him.

Another report from TMW claims that Udinese are keen on keeping hold of the midfielder until the summer. They are against the idea of a January sale.

That report also offers backs up interest from Manchester City.

Atta is said to be one of Udinese’s most consistent players under manager Kosta Runjaic this season. Even in the 2024/25 campaign, he played 27 Serie A games and became a vital player after his arrival from Metz.
