Sunderland have made a stunning start to life back in the Premier League, and it’s doing their placing in the competition’s all-time table no harm at all.

The Black Cats are fourth after 11 games, with 19 points on the board, five wins and just two defeats. Just three points separate Sunderland from Manchester City in second, while Regis Le Bris’ men are already nine points clear of the relegation zone. But what about the all-time Premier League table? Sunderland catching up to Middlesbrough in all-time Premier League standings

Even despite their plunge to the depths of League One recently, Sunderland still place very well in the all-time Premier League table, sitting 18th between Bolton Wanderers and Middlesbrough. The Black Cats trail their North East rivals by 24 points and, given the start they’ve had, will feel confident of overtaking them before this season is out. Crystal Palace, Fulham and Leeds are all currently in the Premier League and still picking up points, while 13th-place Leicester City have 846 points on the board.
