West Ham are in great need of a new striker moving into the January window.
Niclas Fullkrug appears set to leave West Ham, with interest from Germany and Italy emerging in his signature at the London Stadium.
A winter exit could end a nightmare spell in East London, with Fullkrug struggling with injuries at West Ham throughout his claret and blue career.
Nuno Espirito Santo may have a plan for Fullkrug’s exit, but there is still a question of what business the Irons will conduct in the upcoming window.
It now appears that David Sullivan and Co. are growing in desperation for a striker signing, with Fullkrug set to walk out on the Hammers.

Ivan Toney lined up as Niclas Fullkrug replacement at West Ham
Ivan Toney has previously emerged as a target for West Ham as the E20 club continues their long-lasting search for a goalscoring number nine.
Over the years, the Irons have tried and failed to sign a striker who can score consistently at the Premier League level.
West Ham recent striker signings:
Callum Wilson – 2025
Niclas Fullkrug – 2024
Gianluca Scamacca – 2022
Sebastien Haller – 2019
Albian Ajeti – 2019
Lucas Perez – 2018
Jordan Hugill – 2018
Michail Antonio is the only example of a striker scoring regular goals, although he was initially signed as a winger option.
That could change in the upcoming winter window with the signing of Toney, who could be set to move away from Saudi Arabia after just 18 months.
Alex Crook told talkSPORT on 12 November that a whole host of Premier League clubs are set to compete for the Englishman’s signature.
The Hammers are said to be desperate for a new forward option, thanks to the seemingly imminent exit of Fullkrug.
He said: “They’ll be queuing up, there’s no question about that. You’ve mentioned Everton.
“West Ham are another team in dire need of a number nine because Niclas Fullkrug looks like he’s going to leave in January after what has been a disappointing move.
“*Probably half of the Premier League would take Ivan Toney.*“
Toney could transform West Ham under Nuno Espirito Santo
Callum Wilson has become the go-to man in claret and blue in recent weeks, despite the initial fears over his play as you play contract.
Bringing in a ready-to-go alternative in January could prove to be the best business that the Hammers could complete.
Toney could represent an ideal option in East London based on his prior experience at the top level and his goal-scoring exploits in England and in Saudi Arabia.

The 29-year-old has netted 41 goals in 59 appearances for Al Ahli, a record which could potentially translate back to the Premier League.
If Sullivan is desperate to land a striker, the Englishman could prove to be the perfect option to flourish under Nuno and boost the Irons’ fortunes.
