Everton, Fulham, and West Ham United are keeping tabs on Arsenal defensive sensation Myles Lewis-Skelly ahead of a potential move.
Myles Lewis-Skelly’s future has become a big talking point after he was left out of the England squad by Thomas Tuchel. The national team manager suggested that the young full-back needs to play regularly to stay in contention.
Following Tuchel’s comments, Lewis-Skelly’s future now looks uncertain. The teenager could end up pushing for a move in the winter transfer window. According to Mark Brus via The Daily Briefing, Everton, Fulham, and West Ham United are all keen on his signature and they are keeping tabs on his situation.
Lewis-Skelly has been a part of the Arsenal youth setup since his childhood days. The Englishman came up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to their first team in the summer of 2024. He enjoyed a breakthrough season last time out.
The 19-year-old full-back made 39 first-team appearances and even contributed towards three goals. An extended run in the team helped him break into the England national team. However, things have not been that great for Myles Lewis-Skelly this season as Riccardo Calafiori’s red-hot form has kept him on the bench on the majority of the occasions.
The Italian international has started all 11 of their Premier League games, and the teenager has only started in cup fixtures so far. Having missed out on the England squad, Lewis-Skelly could now look for a move away in the winter, as per reports.
Premier League trio are unlikely to sign Lewis-Skelly
Everton, Fulham, and West Ham are keen on signing Myles Lewis-Skelly, who can even feature in the centre of the park. All three clubs could potentially be involved in the relegation battle in the second half, and a talent like Lewis-Skelly could certainly help their cause.
While they are keeping tabs on his situation and would pounce on any opportunity to prise him away from Arsenal, that is unlikely to happen. The Gunners have no intention of letting him leave, neither on a temporary basis nor permanently.
He is an important part of their squad, and Arteta won’t want to risk anything with the club pushing hard to win a major silverware. Having secured the youngster’s future with a new deal in the summer, they are in complete control of the situation.
