The Green Bay Packers are still feeling up the pieces following an especially disappointing two-game stretch that saw them suffer home losses to the Carolina Panthers in Week 9 and at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10.
In both games, Green Bay allowed just 20 points yet went winless, further intensifying the focus on head coach Matt LaFleur.
After the Packers’ 10-7 loss to the Eagles, LaFleur was heavily targeted online by frustrated fans, who voiced out their desire for the team to fire him.
Even with the absence of star tight end Tucker Kraft because of a season-ending injury, the Packers should have scored more than just seven points versus the Eagles — but they didn’t. Jordan Love and company struggled to finish drives, going 5-of-13 on third downs. Green Bay also did not score until the fourth period on a rushing touchdown by running back Josh Jacobs.
Although LaFleur had already addressed questions about his job security following the defeat to the reigning Super Bowl champions, many still went online to call on Green Bay to let him go.
Packers reporter shares blunt take on idea of firing LaFleur in the middle of 2025 NFL season

Meanwhile, others remain patient with LaFleur, believing that a midseason change in the head coaching position in Green Bay would do more harm than good to the team, including Packers writer Ryan Wood of USA TODAY:
Can’t imagine #Packers making a coaching change in season, because that would be to abort 2025, and they’re not going to do that. There’s no coming back from that. Everything is still out in front of them. Doesn’t mean they’ll figure it out, but in season is a death sentence.
There is only one sure way for LaFleur to quell criticisms against him, and that’s by guiding the Packers back to their winning ways, which he will aim to accomplish in Week 11 against the New York Giants on the road.
