A total of 20 Liverpool players will represent their countries during the November international break, including 15 senior internationals, as the race to reach next year’s World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico nears its conclusion.
The Reds have seen a significant portion of their squad depart Merseyside for crucial World Cup qualifiers and international friendlies, with players spread across the globe.
From Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo linking up with the Netherlands to Mohamed Salah joining Egypt and Alexis Mac Allister representing Argentina, the Reds are in every corner of the world.
Among those heading away on international duty is promising young forward Keyrol Figueroa, who has been named in Rob Valentino’s USA U-20 Men’s National Team roster for their international training camp in Costa Rica.
The 19-year-old striker will join a 20-player squad traveling to Alajuela for the camp running from November 10-18.
Figueroa will feature in two friendlies against Costa Rica’s U-20 side, with both matches scheduled at Estadio Piedades de Santa Ana.
The USA will face their Central American counterparts on November 15 and November 18, with both games kicking off at 10 a.m. local time (11 a.m. ET).
The call-up comes during an impressive period for Figueroa at Liverpool, where he has been in strong form for the club’s youth sides this season.
The forward has scored seven goals in nine appearances for Liverpool U21s in Premier League 2 during the 2025/26 campaign, including a memorable hat-trick in the mini-Merseyside derby victory over Everton U21s.
Born in Honduras but raised in England, Figueroa signed his first professional contract with Liverpool in May 2024 after working his way through the Academy ranks since joining at U14 level.
The son of former Honduran international Maynor Figueroa, Keyrol has established himself as a prolific goalscorer at youth level for both club and country, previously netting seven goals at the 2023 CONCACAF U-17 Championship.
