President Donald Trump has been in the NFL news all this week after the POTUS attended the Lions-Commanders game over the weekend. President Trump made history as he attended the regular season game as the first US president to do so in about fifty years. While his attendance at the game was in itself a great spectacle, with it being Trump, there was no shortage of drama.
Trump was welcomed by loud boos and jeers from the crowd, who were showing their frustration for the President even as he led the enlistment ceremony for new military members. Renowned sports reporter Bomani Jones spoke much about this in a recent episode of his ‘The Right Time With Bomani Jones’ podcast.

“I don’t know if Trump is courageous or simply oblivious, but just throwing it out here. You guys have any idea who the number one employee is in Washington DC? The federal government. Have you talked to any of your friends who work for the federal government? They are not at a good time right now. And Donald Trump stood before those people and he read some proclamation or something to him and they was booing him. Man, that was an incredibly risky move. I don’t know what was on his mind when he decided to do that.” Bomani Jones said.

President Donald Trump’s attendance at the game was definitely a shocker, especially since the US government itself has been shut down for the longest period in its history. Despite all the hate he’s been getting, the POTUS went on enjoying the game completely undeterred.

President Donald Trump not just attended the Lions-Commanders game but also brought some entertainment in through Amon-Ra St. Brown. The wide-out scored a touchdown and immediately pointed to the press-box where he assumed that President Trump was sitting and did the POTUS’ classic dance.

However, soon after the video went viral, Brown was at the receiving end of plenty of backlash from those who did not like President Trump. Brown later on spoke with Woodward Sports Network and admitted that he wanted to do it for the President’s position.
Sam Day also echoed Brown’s statements and defended the wide-out’s dance tribute calling haters ‘hypocrites’. Sam Day himself has come under plenty of fire for the statements, with many calling him and his network out for seemingly supporting President Donald Trump.
