📈 Will McDonald IV & Jets Pass Rush
Edge Isaiah Williams stole the show on Sunday, tying a franchise record with 4 sacks in the Jets' win against the Browns. The pass rush unit as a whole, however, showed tremendous growth totaling a season-high 6 sacks and 13 pressures.
Edge Jermaine Johnson, who continues to work himself back from a torn Achilles tendon, and LB Quincy Williams each registered a sack and 2 tackles for loss, and the unit played a complete game, accounting for at least 1 sack in each quarter, including 3 in the final frame.
"Our guys have been buying in," HC Aaron Glenn said. "I give these a lot of credit. … But it wasn't just the buy-in that we have. We have guys staying in the fight and that's what I thought they did."
They will have a great chance to keep that momentum against the Patriots and QB Drake Maye. Maye has been the second most sacked QB in the NFL this season (35) and been pressured on 33% of drop backs.
