Chelsea supporters have been discussing whether they want their club to sign Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez or not.
The Chelsea Chronicle understands that Chelsea are interested in Alvarez and are keeping tabs on his situation at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
The 25-year-old has been a terrific signing for Atletico since joining from Manchester City in 2024.
In his debut season at the club, Alvarez managed to rack up 29 goals in 57 appearances.

Chelsea fans urge club to sign Julian Alvarez
Chelsea bought Joao Pedro and Liam Delap during the summer, but supporters of the Club World Cup winners would not turn down the opportunity to sign Alvarez. In fact, plenty have taken to social media to urge the board to buy him.
One Chelsea fan on X has made it clear that the Argentine would be accepted at Stamford Bridge. “He is welcome to Chelsea.”
Another supporter also likes the idea of signing Alvarez, saying: “Get him and we good to go.”
One Chelsea fan wants the club to wrap up a deal quickly! “Get him already pls.”
Another user on X has claimed that Alvarez arriving would bring him joy and happiness. “If Chelsea should sign this guy, I would be the happiest person.”
One individual cannot see it happening but would love for Chelsea to add Alvarez to their squad. “As much as I would love him at Chelsea, I just don’t see the deal happening.”
Another shared a similar sentiment, saying: “Alvarez to Chelsea sounds impossible, but anything is possible in football. He would be a great signing.”
There are also players at Chelsea who appreciate Atletico’s talisman. Unsurprisingly, that includes his compatriot Enzo Fernandez.
Fernandez chose Alvarez back in May when asked which one of his Argentina teammates would he bring to the Bridge if he could.

Julian Alvarez’s record in England
One thing that will appeal to Chelsea about Alvarez is his experience in English football.
During his time at City, the Argentina international racked up 103 appearances and scored 36 goals. Had it not been for the presence of Erling Haaland, who blocked his way into the first team, both of those numbers would have been much higher.
Given that, the Atletico star may feel that he has some unfinished business in the Premier League.
