The NFC East now has more separation than any other division in the league as the Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) are the only team over .500. The Dallas Cowboys (3-5-1), Washington Commanders (3-7), and New York Giants (2-8) are all currently out of the NFC playoff picture, and time is running out. Let’s take a look at Week 10 and hand out our NFC East Report Cards.

It’s hard to knock a road win against a good team, so there’s not too much bad to say about the Eagles’ 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers. While Philadelphia’s offense could’ve played better, their defense had their best game of the season. Now at 7-2, the Eagles have a chance to lock up the NFC East by early December.
Week 10 Offensive Grade: D
While the Packers defense is good, they’re not that good that the Eagles shouldn’t be able to score more than 10 points (including zero in the first half). Jalen Hurts and Co. did enough for the win, but they can’t be too excited about not having a 200-yard passer, 70-yard rusher, or 70-yard receiver.

Week 10 Defensive Grade: A+
The Eagles defense stepped up big in what became a slugfest as they held the Packers scoreless for 53 minutes. And on the road, no less. While they finally gave up a late touchdown to Josh Jacobs, the Eagles defense held the Packers to just seven points on the night – and they’ve averaged over 23 points per game so far this year.

Week 10 Overall Grade: D
We’ve come a long way from the Commanders being 3-2. After losing 44-22 to the Detroit Lions, Washington now sits at 3-7 with their fifth straight loss. With Jayden Daniels likely out for the season with a dislocated elbow, the Commanders have an uphill battle as they’d likely need to run the table for a shot at the playoffs.
Week 10 Offensive Grade: D
While the Commanders had a decent game offensively with 288 total yards, it was all mostly done in what amounted to garbage time as they were down 22-3 in the early second quarter. With both Daniels and Terry McLaurin out, the Commanders struggled to move the ball with their leading rusher (Jacory Croskey-Merritt) having just 30 yards and their leading receiver (Treylon Burks) having just 58 yards.
Week 10 Defensive Grade: F
You can’t escape an F if you give up over 500 yards of total offense and over 40 points. The Lions basically did whatever they wanted against the Commanders on Sunday, and the Commanders defense couldn’t do anything about it. Detroit had the trifecta of a 300+-yard passer, a 100+-yard rusher, and a 100+-yard receiver. That’s never good news for a defense.
New York Giants
Jaxson Dart

Week 10 Overall Grade: D
The Giants were close to pulling out their third win of the season, but a Jaxson Dart concussion popped their balloon and led to a comeback 24-20 win for the Chicago Bears. While the loss is probably better for the 2-8 Giants’ future as they’ll secure a better draft pick, it also led to Head Coach Brian Daboll’s firing after the defeat.
Week 10 Offensive Grade: B+
It’s hard to knock the Giants offense too much as they put up 431 total yards and gave the defense a 20-10 lead in the fourth quarter. However, Dart’s concussion brought in Russell Wilson, which led to the offense stalling for the rest of the game. Dart looks like the real deal, but the Giants offense more or less revolves around him at this point.
Week 10 Defensive Grade: D
The Giants defense played well for three quarters and limited the Bears to just 10 points, but the wheels fell off at the end of the game. Chicago scored 14 fourth-quarter points and ended the day with 391 total yards. For a team that had to survive without their best player on offense, that’s just not good enough from the defense.
Bye Week Grade: B+

The Cowboys are on the outside looking in on the NFC playoff race, but they made some much-needed additions to their defense at the trade deadline. With Quinnen Williams and Logan Wilson now in the fold, the Cowboys defense should be much-improved coming out of their bye week as they prepare to face the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football.
