Broncos don’t make a move with J.K. Dobbins, which is a good sign for now

The Denver Broncos did nothing with running back J.K. Dobbins on Tuesday.

That’s actually a very good sign.

As fans start to worry about the status of Dobbins, Denver didn’t put him on injured reserve. A report says that was a consideration, but for now, the Broncos aren’t changing his status.

#Broncos I'm told are considering what to do with running back J.K. Dobbins and his foot injury. I was told placing him on injured reserve is being considered.

J.K. Dobbins was the victim of a nasty hip-drop tackle against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football, one in which he took to social media to voice his displeasure about.

There’s been some speculation that Dobbins could miss a number of weeks, but for now, we’re in wait and see mode. The Broncos will practice on Wednesday as they prepare for a massive game against the Kansas City Chiefs, so folks will obviously have an eye on whether or not Dobbins is on the field.

In 10 games with Denver so far this season, J.K. Dobbins has rushed for 772 yards which is fifth in the NFL. He’s also scored four touchdowns and is averaging 5.0 yards per carry.

Rookie RJ Harvey has flashed at times, but the Broncos are thin otherwise at the position. Tyler Badie has been getting a jersey more often than Jaleel McLaughlin, however neither has done much in limited opportunities during the 2025 season.

For now, Denver fans hold their collective breath. The health of J.K. Dobbins could be a big factor into whether or not this year becomes a special one for Broncos fans.
