Chelsea target available for just £25 million

Chelsea go into the final international break of the season in good form, having defeated 20th-placed Wolves 3-0 last time out.

Enzo Maresca’s side currently sit third in the Premier League table after a run of four wins in five matches in the competition, and the Italian will likely be pleased with his side’s position going into a busy festive period.

Next up for the Blues is a trip to Turf Moor to face newly-promoted Burnley, before they host Spanish champions Barcelona in the Champions League group phase.

In the meantime, however, it appears that one of Chelsea’s transfer targets could be available at a cut-price.

According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace will demand a fee in excess of £25 million for defender Daniel Munoz in January, with the player having attracted interest from Chelsea among other clubs.

It is claimed that Spanish giants Barcelona and Premier League side Manchester City have also been monitoring the Colombian, who has impressed for Palace this season.

Munoz, 29, joined the Eagles from Belgian side Genk in 2024 and has since made more than 80 appearances for the South London side across all competitions.

The Colombia international – who primarily plays at right-back but can also play in a more advanced wing-back role – has scored eight goals and provided 14 assists for Palace.

He remains an integral part of Oliver Glasner’s side, having made 19 appearances already this term, but the report suggests that Palace are anticipating interest in the player when the transfer window reopens in January.

Palace will therefore demand a fee in excess of £25 million for the player in the new year, the report states, with Munoz contracted to the club until the summer of 2028.

The Premier League side are therefore under very little pressure to sell the full-back any time soon, despite significant interest from elsewhere.
