Albion show Hinshwwood is on road to a comeback

[Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/?ref=au) have highlighted Jack Hinshelwood’s progress towards full fitness as they prepare for a busy period of the season.

The club have released footage [via their weekly Brighton Unlocked feature](https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/media-video/brighton-unlocked-or-episode-53-or-hinshelwood-steps-up-return-and-palace?ref=ed_direct) of him enjoying a one-to-one fitness session with a member of staff at their Lancing training base.

He is shown running, twisting and both receiving and playing short passes on an area beside the main team session.

Hinshelwood has been out with an ankle injury since the first few seconds of the 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth on September 13.

As his absence hits the two-month mark, there is increasing optimism he will be back soon to add to midfield options.

The 20-year-old started alongside James Milner at the Vitality Stadium.

He was injured in an untidy early clash and replaced by Yasin Ayari. Carlos Baleba later joined the action in place of Milner.

Baleba has been under little competition for his place in recent weeks, with Milner also absent, and has struggled to produce his best form.

He will be away around the turn of the year when Cameroon take part in the AFCON tournament.

Albion boss Fabian Hurzeler appears to prefer Hinshelwood in the central midfield role rather the full-back role he has had with England under-21s.

He enjoys Mats Wieffer in more of a right-back role although the Holland international slotted into midfield for the closing stages of the 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.
