A former Liverpool and Sunderland midfielder has issued a fresh swipe at Alexander Isak following his £130million move from Newcastle United.
Isak went on strike at Newcastle over the summer in a bid to force through a move to Liverpool.
And on deadline day, the clubs finally reached an agreement over a Premier League record transfer.
But since his arrival, Isak has struggled for form and fitness at Liverpool. He missed four games due to a groin injury before returning as an unused substitute in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.
Two-and-a-half months into his Liverpool career, Isak is yet to score a league goal, with his only strike in eight games coming against Championship side Southampton in the Carabao Cup.
Isak is currently away on international duty with Sweden, where his form has also taken a hit. Isak has featured in three games for Sweden since joining Liverpool, with his country suffering defeats without scoring in all three.
The recent results have jeopardised Sweden’s World Cup qualification chances as they face Switzerland and Slovenia in their final two group matches over the next week.
After the break, Liverpool host Nottingham Forest at Anfield. Isak has scored six goals and assisted two in four Premier League matches against Forest, against no other side does he boast a better record.

Former Liverpool man slams Alexander Isak
Former Liverpool and Sunderland midfielder Don Hutchison shared a video of Isak sitting on the bench during the defeat to Manchester City on X.
Hutchison said: “Totally his own fault. He should have been professional, done his pre-season properly with Newcastle. It was only ever gonna be one of two outcomes…
“1. He goes to Liverpool and is 100% fit, ready to play!!! 2. He stays at Newcastle and is ready to play.”
While Isak got what he wanted in terms of leaving Newcastle to join Liverpool, his first couple of months at Anfield have been challenging.
Arne Slot on Alexander Isak
By the time Isak returns to the pitch for Liverpool, it will have been a month since his last appearance.
And Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has admitted patience will be required regarding the most expensive player in Premier League history.
The Dutchman said: "Isak will train with the team again after three weeks out. I know that I said three weeks ago that his pre-season has ended so now it's time for us to see where he is.
"But I have to come back to those words, because if you are three weeks only with the rehab, that doesn't bring you back to the levels he was three weeks ago.
"Even though our rehab has done an incredible job, you cannot compare rehab with games of football or training sessions with the team. As much as we try to replicate it, that's simply not possible. So, again I have to say, give him some time."
