Unai Emery has now broken Premier League history for Aston Villa, as he tops previous managers.

Aston Villa smashed Bournemouth 4-0 on Sunday, as Emery had four different goal scorers on the evening.

The win has shot his side up to sixth in the Premier League, as Villa remain hopeful of achieving success this campaign.

The Villans may have started the Premier League season poorly, but their Europa League campaign has been almost perfect with three wins from four matches.

Now, Emery has etched himself further into Villa’s lengthy history, following the latest reveal.

Anything seems possible under Emery, and Villa’s progression in the Champions League last season showed the greatness that is brewing at Villa Park.

However, despite the dramatic turnaround this season, it wasn’t too long ago that Villa fans were jumping on Emery’s back.

Emery almost lost his Villa job this season

The Villans started the season horribly, and at one point, there looked like no way back for Emery and his staff.

There were calls for Emery to be sacked after a winless run of six games in all competitions to start the season.

Aston Villa’s first six games of the season:

Wins: 0

Draws: 3

Losses: 3

Goals scored: 2

Goals conceded: 6

The turnaround, if anything, shows just how good Emery is at his role and finding new ways to overcome obstacles.

Emery wasn’t helped after a poor transfer window delivered by Monchi, but with his friend Roberto Olabe now at B6, success may be just around the corner.

Fans owe Emery an apology, as there is no one else better suited to the Villa job than the Spaniard.
