Manor Solomon Leeds United
Manor Solomon has not had the ideal season since he left Leeds United in the summer. Granted it was down to the Whites to strike a deal with Tottenham to sign the winger, but his time at his new club has not been the best.
Solomon started off well in Spain, but has not been trusted by Villarreal boss Marcelino in recent games. His last two appearances in this campaign have come against lower tier opposition in the Copa del Rey, and he also got a substitute appearance in the Champions League against Pafos.

The 25-year-old has only been involved in six games in all competitions this campaign. He has fallen behind in the pecking order, and with the January window coming up, he is set to request to be recalled by parent club Tottenham. To go from a starring campaign in a title-winning season in England with Leeds to a benchwarmer is not something any player would be happy with.
Leeds United need to hijack Manor Solomon move
West Ham are now leading the race to sign the winger in the January window according to sources. The Hammers have enquired about signing the 25-year old after reports that he has approached Villarreal over cancelling his current loan deal. Solomon is said to be disappointed with the lack of playing time he has had so far – playing just 228 minutes total.
If Manor Solomon is recalled to Spurs in January, then Leeds United have to move fast. The winger is exactly the type of player the club should have recruited in the summer window but failed to do so. Solomon was one of the stars in their promotion campaign, finishing with the second-most goal involvements for Leeds in the Championship last season.
Near the end of the campaign, when asked if he would like to continue his stay in West Yorkshire, Solomon’s response was very positive. And even this summer, before he joined Villarreal, he had his sights set on a stay in England, with Crystal Palace nearing a move.
Manor Solomon could be back at Leeds United
Solomon was the catalyst in the race for promotion last year, and could be the solution to the club’s attacking problems this season. So far, no Leeds wide player has been outstanding, with the best performer being Noah Okafor. Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto have not been available for much of this campaign, this has forced Daniel Farke into using Brenden Aaronson as a winger.
The 25-year old could be the creative spark the team needs; last season, the winger ranked in the top 10 for chances created, assists and expected assists and had the fourth-most take-ons in the Championship.
Leeds and Farke can use their leverage to try and get a deal for Solomon. Coming back to play at Elland Road in the Premier League will certainly be a prospect the winger cannot turn down at this point of the season. All this hangs on the 49ers being ambitious in the window, if they do fail to reinforce the squad, they could be back in the Championship next August.
