“How About a 2-day Contract?”: New England Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Jokes With Rob…

The New England Patriots have an 8-2 record this season and they will be facing the 2-7 New York Jets on Thursday night football. Well on Wednesday, former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski signed a one-day contract with the team to retire as a member of the Patriots.

Well, owner Robert Kraft spoke to the media and asked Gronkowski, “How about a 2-day contract?” The former tight end responded, “What’s the signing bonus?” It would have been hilarious if he could suit up for New England against New York.

A lot of fans found the dialogue between Kraft and Gronkowski very funny. This is what some New England fans had to say on Twitter about the reaction between these two:

Gronk is the best. Wish we could add him to our current roster as a blocking tight end and red zone threat. He’d feast with Drake

Gronk’s banter never misses—perfect timing with the Jets clash tomorrow night! Imagine him suiting up for that two-day stint. Epic comeback vibes. 😂 #NFL

Gronkowski is no doubt one of the greatest tight ends of all time in the NFL. He would still probably dominate at the position with the way today’s rules are geared toward the offense. The Patriots are no doubt having a good year this year and this adds more funny memories.
