Barcelona and Manchester City are reportedly among the prospective suitors keen on signing 22-year-old French midfielder Arthur Atta from Serie A club Udinese.
According to a report by Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, Barcelona and Manchester City are interested in Arthur Atta. The two European bigwigs are keen on bolstering their first-team squad by signing a versatile midfielder next year. So, the 22-year-old Udinese prospect has emerged as a target for the high-profile clubs.
While Barcelona and Manchester City are closely monitoring Atta’s progress, they are not the only bigwigs pursuing his signature. Serie A giants are also keen on securing his services next year. While Napoli and Juventus have dispatched scouts to watch the Frenchman, AC Milan and Inter Milan have submitted enquiries over a possible move.
Who is Arthur Atta?
Arthur Atta has established himself as one of the best young prospects in Serie A since joining Udinese from FC Metz. A native of Rennes, the 22-year-old spent his formative years in France, passing through the academies at Saint-Jacques FC and Stade Rennais before graduating from the youth division at FC Metz.
Meanwhile, Udinese signed Atta on loan from FC Metz in August 2024 before completing a permanent move this past summer. The French midfielder has made nearly 50 appearances thus far for Udinese while chipping in with two goals and two assists. Meanwhile, his progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs. Barcelona and Manchester City are among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

Barcelona’s interest in Arthur Atta makes sense.
