Clippers star Bradley Beal will miss the rest of the NBA season due to a fracture in his hip.

Beal, 32, had missed four of his team's 10 games thus far, and was listed as out for his team's matchup against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Now, ESPN's Shams Charania has reported that the three-time All-Star will undergo season-ending surgery just weeks into the new season.

Beal, who signed a two-year deal with the Clippers in July, was off to an uncharacteristic start with his new team.

The talented scorer averaged just 8.2 points per contest in six games - far lower than his career average of 21.4 per game.
