Barcelona star Joan García has this week revealed his hope that club icon Lionel Messi could return to Catalunya’s capital in a playing capacity.
The subject of a potential reunion between Barcelona and Messi has of course emerged as a prominent talking point in Spain over recent days.
This comes after the Argentine paid a surprise visit to the newly-renovated Spotify Camp Nou.
With the long-standing tensions between club and player evidently beginning to subside, it was in turn reported that Messi could even take into consideration a return to Blaugrana colours.
Such an operation could potentially be explored during the upcoming MLS offseason.
And one member of Hansi Flick’s squad who would be delighted to share a dressing room with the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner is the aforementioned Joan García.

“I hope he can come and play with us, but I don’t know how possible or realistic that is.”
