Former Manchester United forward Mark Hughes has put his stunning £5.5million mansion up for sale for a third time. Located in Cheshire, the property spans approximately 8,892 square feet and sits on around two acres of land.

Hughes spent 13 years at United across two spells, initially making his breakthrough aged 20 in the early 1980s before returning to Old Trafford in 1988 following stints with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

In total, the 62-year-old made over 450 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, scoring 161 goals during that time.

His playing career also saw him represent Chelsea, Southampton, Everton and Blackburn Rovers before hanging up his boots in 2002. Hughes has since enjoyed an impressive managerial career, taking charge of the Welsh national team as well as Blackburn, Manchester City, Fulham and Southampton, among others.

Hughes is currently the manager of National League side Carlisle United, having taken over in February this year. The club were relegated from League Two in April, ending their 20-year stay in the Football League.

Now, the former United and Chelsea star has put his Cheshire mansion back on the market for a third time, having previously listed it twice before - most recently in 2020. According to the listing, the property boasts six bedrooms and an impressive seven bathrooms.

It has been described by the estate agents as an "expansive, design-led family home with a luxury leisure suite in a prestigious Cheshire location."

The leisure suite includes an indoor pool, spa and gym, while the grounds feature a tennis court and even a private golf green.
