Broncos' Bo Nix Fires Defiant Message to Critics Before Facing Chiefs

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has been in the crosshairs for most of the 2025 NFL campaign, and his critics have never been louder following his dreadful performance in a win over the Las Vegas Raiders last week.

Many are questioning whether or not Nix actually has what it takes to be the Broncos’ franchise quarterback, one year after he put the league on notice with a brilliant rookie season.

But Nix doesn’t really care about the naysayers and sent a rather strong message to all of them in the week leading up to Denver’s pivotal AFC West clash with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Seems like a rather healthy approach from Nix, who went 16-for-28 with 150 yards, a touchdown and a couple of interceptions in the Broncos’ victory over the Raiders.

While Nix may not be on social media to see and hear all of the criticism, he almost surely knows a lot of what is being said about him. It’s very hard to entirely ignore that stuff in today’s era of modern technology where everyone has a phone on them at all times.

The key is for Nix to not allow it to adversely affect him, and that appears to be the route he is taking here.

Nix has thrown for 2,126 yards, 18 touchdowns and eight picks while completing 60.9 percent of his passes and posting an 85.7 passer rating thus far in 2025. He has also rushed for 205 yards and three scores.

Last year, the 25-year-old registered 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 picks, completing 66.3 percent of his throws and recording a 93.3 passer rating. Additionally, he totaled 430 yards while reaching the end zone four times on the ground. Most importantly, he led Denver to a surprising playoff appearance.

While Nix has certainly taken a step back this season, the Broncos are still tied for the best record in football at 8-2. We’ll see if he can nab a signature win over the Chiefs this Sunday.
