Andy Reid has been leading the Kansas City Chiefs for years, helping the AFC team consistently compete for a Super Bowl title.
Reid leads a group with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce and several other stars who have helped the Chiefs win three Super Bowl titles and five AFC titles in the last eight seasons.
On Wednesday, Reid shared some encouraging news that may even put a smile on the face of Mahomes and his offense.
After missing several games offensive tackle Josh Simmons is back with the team. He could potentially make his return against the Denver Broncos in Week 11 of the NFL season.
“He’ll jump in and see what he can do and mix it up out there,” Reid said. “I just want to see him back in there… I’m glad he’s back and can get going. Let’s see how he is… I’m sure he’s going to be OK, but we’ll see.”
Josh Simmons has missed several games with the Kansas City Chiefs during his rookie season with the team. Simmons was drafted by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2025 draft and was seen as a starter on Kansas City’s offense.
While the details of Simmons’ absence are still unknown, it was mentioned by several members of the Chiefs’ organization that this was deemed a “personal matter.”

A heightened protection for Patrick Mahomes would greatly help the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback. He’s also dealing with uncertainty at running back with Isiah Pacheco having missed the Chiefs’ most recent practice.
Throughout his ninth season with the Chiefs, Mahomes has posted 17 touchdowns and 2,349 yards with a 64.6 completion percentage.
