The Green Bay Packers are 5-3-1 and sit in third place in the NFC North behind the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears, who are each 6-3. Unfortunately, the Packers ceded control over the division with their 10-7 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night. It was Green Bay’s second loss in a row, both of which came at home.
Over the several weeks, even in the midst of the Packers’ three-game win streak, there has been one glaring weakness/flaw that has become even more pronounced now that they are on a losing streak: the kicker situation.
Granted, the offense has been terribly inconsistent as well. That being said, in each of Green Bay’s three losses this year, all games they lost by three points, Brandon McManus missed at least one field goal.
The Green Bay Packers are sticking with Brandon McManus
Green Bay Packers place kicker Brandon McManus (17) watches his extra point during the fourth quarter of their game against the Carolina Panthers Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
McManus, as fans are well-aware, has been dealing with a quad injury that forced him to miss a couple of games earlier in the year. During his absence, the Packers signed Lucas Havrisik, who made every single one of his kicks, including a franchise record 61-yard field goal.
Havrisik is still on the active roster, and despite McManus’ struggles since he came back, head coach Matt LaFleur says there will be no change on gameday at the kicker position.
And fans are furious:
MLF fierce loyalty to players and staff will haunt him. https://t.co/CzgjFFLHmN

Sure his distaste for investing any time or thought into special teams will continue to cost the Packers in embarrassing fashion, but some other teams have worse coaches so it just is what it is right?! https://t.co/ODc9JgydI5

So zero accountability. Cool. https://t.co/RANRbl2UxU

McManus’ 64.7% field goal percentage this season is the worst in the NFL, and fans are frustrated that LaFleur does not seem interested in implementing an easy fix that is already on the roster.
