Fabrizio Romano hands Chelsea transfer blow for their dream forward target

[Chelsea](https://chelseanews.com/) added a handful of young stars to bolster their attack in the summer 2025 transfer window. All of Alejandro Garnacho, Estevao Willian, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Liam Delap, and, of course, Joao Pedro have shown either the potential to be great or already stars for the team, particularly the teenager Willian.

That being said, Chelsea still want to add one or two more high impact stars to their attack, and one more world-class winger and world-class striker could make the Blues the best team in the Premier League.

Alongside rivals Arsenal, Chelsea have been closely monitoring the transfer status of disgruntled Real Madrid superstar Rodrygo Goes, who could be pushing for a transfer in 2026 due to Xabi Alonso’s poor man management.

However, Fabrizio Romano is pouring cold water on Chelsea’s chances of a Rodrygo transfer. Per Fab, Chelsea are not even currently in negotiations for Rodrygo, neither with the Brazilian international nor with the Spanish giants themselves.

At this point, it doesn’t seem like Chelsea are even seriously considering Rodrygo as a transfer target, and while that can change, perhaps they are happy with the wingers they have, especially with Garnacho now joining Estevao in shredding defenses for goals and assists.
