Early injury news ahead of Everton’s clash with Manchester United later this month
Everton return to Premier League action on November 24 with a trip to in-form Manchester United, as David Moyes faces his former club at Old Trafford.
The Toffees have begun the season positively themselves, winning against Fulham last time out to drag themselves up into mid-table and just a couple of points away from European contention.
The Merseyside outfit would draw level on points with United if they win at Old Trafford, following an international break in which both sides see several first-team stars in action.
Both clubs will hope that injury concerns will have eased by the time the fixture is reached, though there is always the risk that further players will arrive back from international duty with fresh knocks to add to selection issues for their club side. Everton were boosted by the confirmation of star performer Iliman Ndiaye as fit to face the Cottagers last time out.
Man United injury news ahead of Toffees clash
Benjamin Sesko - Doubt: Marquee signing Sesko was replaced and taken straight down the tunnel at Tottenham Hotspur last time out and is currently a doubt to face Everton at Old Trafford. Sesko has withdrawn from the Slovenia squad and will require ‘further tests’ according to The Standard.
Ruben Amorim expressed his concern for the 22-year-old after the match: "That [his recent form] is not the biggest concern now," Amorim told reporters. "I'm concerned with an injury, because it is in the knee, and I don't know. We need Ben [Sesko] to be a better team. We have to check. He has something in his knee. Let's see."
Harry Maguire - Doubt: Also withdrawn at Spurs, the recent Anfield match-winner was replaced with a hamstring issue but will hope that the two-week rest period could allow for him to return to action against Everton.
Kobbie Mainoo - Doubt: The United academy graduate was ruled out with a knock last time out, but his injury has been described as ‘minor’ and so the hope is that he will be fit for selection after the international break.
Casemiro - Available: One of three players who was replaced with an injury at Spurs, Casemiro has since joined up with the Brazil national team squad and so is expected to be available to face Everton, unless he picks up a recurring knock during the break.
Lisandro Martinez - Doubt: The defender has been out with an ACL injury since January, but was allowed to travel with the Argentina squad to train over the break as he edges ever closer to first-team action. Whether he will be ready in time to feature against the Toffees remains to be seen.

Jarrad Branthwaite - Out: Everton have a near-full bill of health at present, with just a couple of injuries to report. Branthwaite remains on the sidelines after his recent hamstring surgery, and is not expected to return to action anytime soon.
Moyes has said of the issue: “He's fine, he is in a brace, he really is disappointed. We're hugely disappointed because Jarrad Branthwaite would be one of our top players and for us to be playing and not having him is a big, big blow to us. We've had to do it near enough all the season so far and he'll certainly be out for a little while longer.”
Nathan Patterson - Doubt: While he is more likely to be out than not, a return date is not yet known following Patterson’s recent groin surgery. The likelihood is that he will remain on the sidelines until next month at the earliest, with confirmation of this likely to come from Moyes ahead of the Toffees’ return to action.
