Daniel Farke Leeds United
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has come under scrutiny these past few weeks. The Whites entered this international break with yet another defeat, this time to Nottingham Forest and it edged them closer to the relegation zone.
The team have had a terrible run since they returned from the October international break. Leeds have now lost four of their five games, with their only win coming against West Ham, who are near the bottom of the table. Farke’s coaching has increasingly been criticised of the past few games, especially his team selections, in-game tactics and substitutions.

He continues to play Jaka Bijol and Brenden Aaronson despite their poor form. The Slovenian finally got a run in the team when Pascal Struijk was benched, but he has failed to show why so much was spent on him in the summer. Aaronson has contributed a goal and an assist recently, but the American is out on the wing and the balance of the team looks completely off. Farke has not helped his situation, as he continues to frustrate fans with his words in post-match press conferences.
Leeds United have doubts about Daniel Farke
Earlier this week, it was revealed that that Leeds have given Daniel Farke the next few games to put their season back on track. The Whites’ demanding fixture list after this international break is really going to test his ability as a coach. Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool are all games that you would ordinarily see Leeds struggle to get points, but when you factor in their poor form it looks like mission impossible.
Alex Crook has now given the latest on the news surrounding the hot seat at Elland Road: ”Farke is an interesting one because the Leeds hierarchy were not convinced of his ability to manage in the Premier League even before a ball was kicked.” he said on TalkSPORT.
”I think those doubts will intensify if this poor run of form continues.”
Leeds United boss could be sacked soon
The Mail reported that Farke was given the next five games before Leeds went to visit Nottingham Forest to save his job. The game against Sean Dyche’s men was the most ‘winnable’ one among the upcoming fixtures, but they blew their chance.
After the international break, Aston Villa are the first opponent and Unai Emery’s side have won eight of their last 10 games in all competitions. Leeds will then face Manchester City and Chelsea within the space of three days, before a clash against Liverpool on the weekend. As it stands, it is very likely that Farke will be sacked until the end of the month. There is no game that looks like the team will even pick up a single point, the club owners will be hoping that they did not repeat the same mistake they made with Jesse Marsch a few years ago.
