Manchester City midfielder Tijani Reijnders has admitted he loves every day at the club. Even if he’s sitting on the bench, such as against Liverpool.
[ESPN have an interview](https://www.espn.nl/voetbal/artikel/_/id/15945691/reijnders-ik-geniet-nog-elke-dag-bij-manchester-city) with the Dutch midfielder today. He’s linked up with the Netherlands squad for what could be a crucial international break.
Ronald Koeman’s side can secure their spot in the World Cup next summer in clashes with Poland and Lithuania. Reijnders is likely to be a key player in both of those games.
The midfielder heads into this break in good form after a strong start to life at Manchester City following a big money move from AC Milan in the summer. He’s made 15 appearances in all competitions to date, scoring once and bagging five assists.
He isn’t an absolute guaranteed starter, though. Indeed, this month he has found himself sat on the bench for the games against Bournemouth and Liverpool.
That’s something of a major change for the midfielder, who was only on the bench 15 times during his two years at AC Milan. He, though, isn’t concerned and insists he’s more than happy at Manchester City.
_“It’s great, the Premier League. I still enjoy every day at Manchester City. There’s a lot to consider in training, how we prepare tactically with the players we have,”_ he said.
_“That was the coach’s decision,”_ he added about being dropped for the win over Liverpool.
_“It’s a very long season. If you look at our squad, anyone could be in the starting lineup. I’ve been spoiled a bit these past few years. That’s part of being at a club like this. You sometimes end up on the bench.”_
