'Get That Brazilian' 'We Don't Need Him' Fans Discuss Rumours That Man City Are Circling £132M Rated Winger

Man City are keeping an eye on Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr, according to reports in Switzerland.

The Brazilian international has not put pen to paper on a contract extension despite his current deal expiring at the end of next season.

Sky Sport Switzerland claim that Real have slapped a €150m (£132m) price tag on Vinicius if he does leave the Bernabeu next summer, with City among his suitors. Fans on X are split on whether their club should make a move for the player, especially as Jeremy Doku is in the form of his life:

Why are They observing while they don't want to be involved?

We don't need him🙏

We have Doku, we'll rather get rid of Savinho for another winger

Vinicius Jr would be open to a Premier League transfer

It is believed that the 25-year-old isn’t particularly interested in joining a Saudi Pro League club if he does leave Real.

Vinicius would, therefore, be a target for English teams, with City, Chelsea and Liverpool believed to be the three teams who possess the finances for such a transfer.

Are Man City in the market for another wide player?

Reports in the German media did link FC Cologne’s Said El Mala with a move to the Etihad earlier this month, which does suggest that Director of Football Hugo Viana is looking for another winger.

However, buying a youngster with potential like El Mala is very different to going after a player like Vinicius, whose transfer fee, agent/signing on bonuses and wages would cost a small fortune. It is, though, definitely a situation to keep a close eye on.
