Wolves offering loan with option to buy – Club seeking permanent January sale

Wolves attempted to sign Lazio’s Christos Mandas in the summer transfer window. The move failed but the Midlands club are now reportedly back in the fray to land the Greek international.

Il Messaggero today cover the 24-year-old’s situation

The newspaper explain Mandas is unhappy with life in Rome. He is yet to play even once in Serie A this season, with Ivan Provedel firmly Lazio’s first-choice.

Mandas is seeking more game time and wants to leave. Now, his value has now reduced to half of what it was in the summer.

Wolves are still interested in the goalkeeper, according to the Italian newspaper. They are currently said to be offering an initial loan deal with an option to buy.

This formula doesn’t satisfy Lazio, who are looking to sell Mandas permanently in January. They are facing major financial issues that denied them from making summer signings.

Maurizio Sarri’s side have already identified Venezia’s Filip Stankovic as a target, but need to sell Mandas.

As of now, €8-9m could be enough for Wolves to sign the Greece international. This will give Lazio enough funds to sign Stankovic, whose father Dejan played over 100 times for the Roman side.
