Leeds United and manager Daniel Farke are under the spotlight this international break after heading into a two-week break from action with a 3-1 defeat at fellow relegation-threatened side Nottingham Forest.
There is lots of talk centred around Farke and whether he will still be in the job come Christmas, with many supporters frustrated by the current form of the team, selection policy and even the position in the table.
However, despite all that, Leeds remain outside of the relegation zone at present and are still on course for Farke's target of a point-per-game average, having picked up 11 points in as many matches.
Much of the frustration around Leeds is not centred on the league table position, which new data proves is not too bad if the money spent this summer is taken into the equation.
FootballBlog.co.uk have produced a league table which is based on all transfers involving Premier League clubs during the 2025 summer transfer window. Each club's total and net spending was calculated and then compared against their points tally after 11 matches of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
When it comes to an equation of how much each point picked up has cost clubs so far this season, Leeds sit ninth. The Whites spent £103m in the summer, which puts them in the bottom half of the summer spending table. That equates to £9.37m spent per point so far, a greater return for their money than fellow promotion sides Sunderland (£9.65m per point) and Burnley (£9.77m per point).

With a huge £446.5m spent Liverpool don't come out of this league table well with just 18 points to show for their huge spending, but they don't sit bottom. That goes to actual basement dwellers Wolves, with just two points this season and over £100m spent.
The table shows that in terms of a points return for the cost of adding to a promoted side, Leeds are not performing as bad as many others. However, a points return on a balance sheet may appease members of the board when considering their options moving forward, but it is unlikely to appease supporters who expect to see better performances.
