Chelsea and Brazil midfielder Andrey Santos has heaped praise on two of his teammates.
Santos is part of a very talented Chelsea squad, which boasts the likes of Cole Palmer and Estevao Willian.
The 21-year-old is not a bad player either. Santos was excellent in Chelsea’s win against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of the Carabao Cup, scoring his first goal for the club.
As well as that trio, the Blues also have the excellent Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, about whom Santos has been speaking.

Andrey Santos claims Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are among the best
Right now, Caicedo and Fernandez are keeping Santos out of Enzo Maresca’s starting XI. Nevertheless, the Brazilian is still learning from the pair and thinks they are two of the Premier League’s best midfielders.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of Brazil’s friendly against Senegal on Saturday, Santos said: “I think it [competition] helps a lot because when the squad is strong it ends up pulling everyone up. Of course, my competition is very tough with Enzo and Moi, who are now among the top midfielders in the Premier League, doing a great job.
“I believe the learning I am getting from them is essential. We are very close, we’re always together. So I think this exchange, let’s say, that I am having with them, is helping me mature a lot.”
"Keep raising the level more and more!" 📈

Another Chelsea player who has really impressed the former Vasco da Gama star this year is Estevao.
Santos praised Estevao last month, stating that his Chelsea and Brazil teammate has done “really well” since arriving at Stamford Bridge.

Comparing Andrey Santos, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez
Santos has not had too many opportunities to play in the Premier League this season, so it is difficult to compare his stats with Caicedo’s and Fernandez’s right now.
His pass success rate is not far away from Fernandez’s, though, while he is also making one tackle per game. Fernandez makes 1.6 and, unsurprisingly, Caicedo clears both of them with an average of 3.1, which is the highest in Chelsea’s squad.
Player Appearances Minutes Goals Assists Key passes per game Tackles per game Interceptions per game Pass success rate
Andrey Santos 8 229 0 0 0.4 1 0.3 83.5%
Moises Caicedo 11 945 3 1 0.5 3.1 2.4 90.7%
Enzo Fernandez 10 882 3 1 1.7 1.6 0.4 85.6%

Last season, Santos proved to be a very good tackler at Strasbourg, averaging 3.4 tackles per game during his loan spell there. He also scored 10 goals in 32 Ligue 1 appearances.
As the Brazil international starts to get more opportunities, he should start to make more tackles and score more goals. However, competing against Caicedo and Fernandez for a place in Maresca’s side, Santos is going to have to remain patient.
