A.J. Brown's brutally honest answers expose what every Eagles fan already knows

Philadelphia Eagles fans may be extremely annoyed by the A.J. Brown controversy, but one thing everyone can say is that he is as consistent as it gets with his answers.

After another frustrating game for Brown against the Green Bay Packers in Week 10, he was on a stream playing Madden 26, where he expressed his frustration with the Eagles, calling the team a "s-show". He also told fantasy owners of his to drop him and showed them the stats in Madden that he had manipulated to demonstrate the numbers he wanted.

This led to the media questioning Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts about Brown. While they tried to dodge those questions quicker and Keanu Reeves dodged bullets in "The Matrix," Brown faced those questions head-on with what he's been consistent with: speaking from his heart.

Brown tackles the offense's struggles in Philly

After practice in front of his locker room, Brown was asked to comment on his "s-show" remark and his venting about the Eagles' offense. Once again, Brown stood firm and refused to apologize for his feelings.

"I think that's fair. I think if you got eyes, you can see that," Brown said viaThe Athletic's Zach Berman. "Same things I've been saying all season. Me making light of my situation on Twitch with friend, that's something I'm not apologizing for. If you've got eyes you can see. That's me trying to laugh through my situation."

Brown finished the Packers game with just two receptions on three targets for 13 yards. A stat line Eagles fans have seen far too much for someone who has been to two Pro Bowls in three years with Philly. For Brown, it's as simple as just wanting to contribute to the offense.

"I see the offense struggling, and I want to help contribute. And I didn't get those opportunities. I'm going. to have a problem with that — especially the player that I am and the player you want me to be."

While the stats are improving for the offense, this is an Eagles unit that ranks 23rd in total offense (303.2), 25th in passing yards (191.7), and 21st in rushing yards (111.6). The only thing they have done well is scoring, as they are ranked 12th in points per game with 24.2.

The reality that Brown is trying to convey to fans and the media is that there is a problem with the offense, and the Eagles have not taken any steps to address it through nine weeks. While some on the team are focused on the wins, Brown knows that won't solve anything when it comes to January or February football.

"If we're really focused on winning and doing our job, we can't keep slapping the Band-Aid over the defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble. At what point are we going to pick up our slack as an offense, that say we're so great? That's what I'm getting at.

"It's not about; I don't care about winning, and all I care about is stats. No. Week after week, we're not contributing, not doing our job on offense. We can't keep slapping a Band-Aid over that and expect to win late in the year and go to it at the end of the year. It's not going to f*****g happen. It's not going to happen.

"Last year was what it was, thank you for the ring, but it's a new season. They adapted, we have other adapt. We have to get better and continue to find new ones."

The Eagles have started the season 7-2, and that's all well and dandy, but Sirianni has to realize that offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo is struggling with his play-calling. Patullo is not getting Brown the ball and being creative enough to get him open. Brown mentioned this while talking to the media, how he knows he gets blanketed by secondaries, but they need to find a way to get him open and the ball.

Brown knows that he will get criticized by the media for his public comments, but he won't stop doing them, no matter what.

"I don't care if I'm misunderstood. I'll stand up and fall on the sword over and over again. It's about doing what we're supposed to do on offense. And if we're really in this business to try to get better, we got to do what we go to to do and not just say, 'it's about wins' or 'as long as we got the win, it's cool.' No, you can't do that. Not in this league. We got to continue to get better. We have to do what we gotta do on offense to help the defense, help the special teams."

Fans can say whatever they want, but Brown is on the money with his comments. There is a problem with the offense entering the third month of the season, and something needs to be done. While everyone wishes it wasn't so public, at least Brown isn't scared to speak his mind about it and fight to get the ball more.
