Matt Scrafton's verdict on Burnley's 3-2 defeat to West Ham
Martin Dubravka has been a key player for Burnley since his summer arrival, but how does he stack up against his Premier League rivals?
Martin Dubravka didn’t have his best performance against West Ham United at the weekend, but overall, he’s been an excellent signing for Burnley so far.
The Slovakia international made costly handling errors on the Hammers’ second and third goals as the Clarets went down 3-2 at the London Stadium, despite taking a 35th-minute lead through Zian Flemming.
However, Dubravka has saved Burnley far more than he’s cost them since arriving from Newcastle United in the summer, with superb performances in vital wins over Leeds and Sunderland particularly eye-catching.
But just how good has Dubravka been? We’ve taken a look at some key goalkeeping metrics to see how the 36-year-old stacks up against his peers.
How many saves has Martin Dubravka made in the Premier League this season?
Burnley have faced more shots (192) than any other team in the Premier League so far this season, so it should come as no surprise to see Dubravka top of the pile for saves. That said, the former Sparta Prague man has been particularly busy, making at least eight more saves than any other goalkeeper.
