What Everton's Goodison Park is surprisingly being used for during international break

Everton’s Goodison Park has remained open for the Women’s team to play their matches, but it has recently been handed another use.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium has been a roaring success since it opened earlier this year.

Of course, there have been some issues experienced along the way, with Everton fans frustrated by the stadium transport links.

However, the overwhelming feeling is that the stadium move has been a huge positive for Everton both on and off the pitch.

Goodison Park was spared from demolition as the Friedkins eyed an opportunity to keep the Old Lady standing in L4.

Even Italian politicians hailed Everton for keeping Goodison Park open despite their move to the docks over the summer.

During the international break, a new use for the Old Lady has been shared through an update on social media.

The Toffees have kept a huge part of the club’s history in retaining the Old Lady, but a new team has now had the opportunity to play in L4.

On Wednesday, the Northern Ireland side trained at Goodison ahead of their World Cup Qualifier away to Slovakia.

Images were shared through the side’s official account on X showing their players warming up at Everton’s old home.

A number of recognised Premier League players were on display as the Old Lady played host for the World Cup hopefuls.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium has changed the game financially for Everton, with huge new revenue streams coming into the club.

However, seeing Goodison still in action will please the large majority of the fanbase given the memories tied in with the historic home of the Blues

Everton to host Euro 2028 in another boost for the Friedkins

Since the takeover was sealed last December, Everton look like a real powerhouse of a club capable of competing on the global stage – albeit away from the pitch.

As things stand, Everton are in the process of development under Moyes and the Friedkins, with patience needed to see results on the pitch.

Away from the pitch, the Blues are excelling as Everton is set to host Euro 2028 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton’s CEO Angus Kinnear has hailed the development in securing a spot as a host venue at Euro 2028.

“This is a proud moment for Everton and for our new waterfront home,” he said.

“Our stadium was designed to host the biggest moments in sport, and to see it formally part of the venue schedule for UEFA EURO 2028 is a landmark in the Club’s history.”
