Bears' first Week 11 injury report showcases depleted starting lineup

Wednesdays during the 2025 season have become a tradition for Chicago Bears fans to star panicking about the first injury report because it's usually including at least 10 players who are hurt.

Chicago's first injury report ahead of their Week 11 showdown against the Minnesota Vikings is more of the same, with 13 players being included. Eight total players did not practice, with seven of them being starters on the team.

Breaking down the key injuries on the list

Clearly, the biggest concern comes with the secondary having three starters out. Byard is not as much of a concern since he is for rest, but Brisker and Stevenson are a bit worrisome, especially for Stevenson, since they are already down three cornerbacks on IR.

It has become a tradition for Moore and Odunze not to participate in the first practice of the week as they try to get as much rest as possible to avoid injury. So far, it has worked well for him, so the Bears should continue this trend until they feel both players are 100% healthy.

A nice change of pace is seeing Swift practicing even if it is on a limited basis. He's been another one for several weeks, not taking part in the first practice, but he was on board for this one.

Edwards has missed time on and off this season for multiple injuries. After undergoing surgery on his hand, he's expected to return, but his timetable is unknown. It does seem as though he could be wearing a brace on his hand and still play on the field when he returns.
