One of the key members of Leeds United’s Premier League squad has suffered an injury scare while away on international duty.
Daniel Farke will be spending the international break working out how to coax an improvement out of his squad as they slip closer to the Premier League relegation zone.
16 members of the Leeds squad are currently away with their national sides, having fallen to a demoralising defeat against Nottingham Forest before the break.
Gabriel Gudmundsson is one of those players who have linked up with their national side, having joined the Sweden squad under new manager Graham Potter.
However, Gudmundsson has now suffered a scare after it was confirmed that he sat out a training session in the build-up to the game.

Leeds United left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson suffers injury scare
According to the Swedish publication FotbollSkanalen, Gudmundsson missed a training session ahead of the game against Switzerland.
However, in a boost to Farke, the decision was taken as a precautionary measure, with the Leeds full-back suffering from a concussion.
The report states: “Left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson will miss training due to a concussion – a precautionary measure, says press officer Petra Thorén.

Daniel Farke cannot afford Gabriel Gudmundsson injury
Leeds’ defence has been criticised in recent weeks, particularly away from home, as Jaka Bijol has struggled to adapt to life at Elland Road.
Farke spent over £50 million on defenders in the summer transfer window, with Sebastiaan Bornauw still waiting to make a Premier League appearance; however, to date, Gudmundsson is the only one of his new defensive signings to look solid.
As a result, Farke will almost certainly have felt a sense of anxiety when his player sat out the training session.
Leeds do have options in the position, with both James Justin and Sam Byram able to slot in. However, Gudmundsson has been impressive so far this season. With their Premier League status in doubt, Leeds cannot afford to lose their key man for a prolonged period.
