NFL power rankings: NFC North Week 11

The 2025 regular season is down to the final eight games. The race for the division crown is shaping up to be a tight race. The Lions have been the darlings of the division throughout the season, but the Bears have improved and are tied for the lead. However, the Lions own the tiebreaker following their week two victory over the Bears. The teams will have their final matchup in the last game of the season. While Detroit and Chicago are playing well, the same cannot be said about Green Bay and Minnesota. The Packers, still searching for an offensive identity, have suffered two consecutive losses, and the Vikings are quickly fading out of playoff contention. As next weekend approaches, here are the 2025 NFC North Divisional Power Rankings for Week 11.

4. Minnesota Vikings Record: 4-5 (Last Week’s Ranking: 4)

Minnesota is fading fast from playoff contention. The team has dropped three of the last five games, and their next two games are against division rivals Chicago and Green Bay. The Vikings have dealt with their fair share of injuries, and inconsistent play has shown up on many occasions. A major issue is failing to consistently win close games. Of the team’s five losses, three were decided by one possession. Offensive production has been limited as the team ranks 24th in yards per game and 21st in points per game. Unlike last season, Minnesota’s defense has struggled against the run and in forcing turnovers.

The story of Green Bay’s season has repeatedly been a failing offense. The Packers’ defense has been one of the NFL’s best, but it’s their offense that is still searching for a consistent identity. In their three losses, the Packers averaged 10 points per game compared to 30.5 points per game in the five losses and one tie. Green Bay’s defense has kept the team in every game. The defense ranks 5th in yards allowed per game, 6th in rushing yards allowed per game, and 7th in points allowed per game. There is still time for offensive improvement, but the latter stages of the season have started.

2. Chicago Bears Record: 6-3 (Last Week’s Ranking: 3)

The Ben Johnson era is in full effect in Chicago. It took a few months, but the Bears’ offense is playing as well as any offense in the league. Chicago’s offense ranks 3rd in yards per game, 11th in passing yards per game, 2nd in rushing yards per game, and 7th in points per game. Johnson’s inaugural season has been as successful as anyone could have predicted. Chicago’s defense is another story and an interesting one. The defense ranks 27th in yards allowed per game, 24th in rushing yards allowed per game, and 28th in points allowed per game, but leads the league in turnover differential. The Bears are positioning themselves for a playoff berth, but they must tighten up their defense.

1. Detroit Lions Record: 6-3 (Last Week’s Ranking: 2)

Detroit continues to fire on all cylinders. Head coach Dan Campbell adjusted deficiencies early on, and the team continues to be one of the NFL’s best. The Lions’ electric offense is a nightmare for opposing defenses and ranks 6th in yards per game and 2nd in points per game. The defense gets overshadowed by the offense, but plays at a high level, ranking 5th in turnover differential and 4th in sacks. There are arguments to be made that there isn’t a more well-rounded team in the NFL.
