Harry Amass is set to continue his stint at Sheffield Wednesday beyond the January transfer window.
The Manchester United left-back, who joined the Championship side on loan in September, is poised to extend his temporary spell. The 18-year-old wonderkid netted his first senior goal against Southampton recently and has had a successful loan period in Yorkshire, despite Sheffield Wednesday's financial troubles.
Since arriving at Hillsborough, the Old Trafford star hasn't missed a Championship match and has played the full 90 minutes in the last 10 games. The England under-19 international has made an impressive start to his senior football career.
United signed Amass in August 2023 after he spent his early years with Watford. The Red Devils are thrilled with Amass' performance on loan, leading them to decide to prolong his stay with the Championship team, as initially reported by the BBC.
Sheffield Wednesday believe Amass has made significant progress during his initial months with the club.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen has praised Amass' contributions highly. The Championship boss believes the loanee has shown he can hold his own against the division's top players, reports the Mirror.
In an interview with the Sheffield Star, Pedersen said of Amass: "The young man who came into Sheffield Wednesday and the young man who just left the stadium today are two different humans.
"And they are two different players. His progression has been amazing and, for a young player like Harry, he came with a lot of energy, but then the Championship always come knocking with three games in a row.
"It is tough, but he keeps on playing. This week, against West Brom, against Norwich, against Southampton, he showed against three good teams that he can compete with them.

"It's not only that he can compete but he can be dominant in some phases. So I think he has done a big development as a player and what I see is a young man who has started to have a big knowledge about himself as a human - who he wants to be, who he doesn't want to be.

"He has started to control when his mood comes down to be more stable. I see a young guy who has started to be physically stronger. He runs more, he has started to sprint more, he has more accelerations and he starts to have smaller breaks in the game. He has started to be better between the phases of the game.
"I like him. He is a good boy, he is a good player and he loves to learn. We love to have him here."
