2-time Super Bowl champ indicted in Texas

Tennessee Titans cornerback L’Jarius Sneed was indicted in Dallas County, Texas, on Tuesday for failure to report a felony related to a December 2024 shooting in Dallas, according to court records.

The charge against Sneed, 28, is a class A misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine of up to $4,000 and/or one year in county jail.

Sneed and another man, Tekonzae Williams, are being sued for more than $1 million in a civil lawsuit on accusations that they shot at two men at One Legacy Motors, a car dealership in Carrollton, Texas, on Dec. 6, 2024. Sneed and Williams are accused of pulling up to the dealership in a rented Lamborghini Urus and shooting at men who were sitting inside a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. No one was struck by bullets fired, but the lawsuit claims the bullets hit both the Mercedes Benz and the building, the AP reports.

Williams was indicted on one charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Tuesday, while Sneed was indicted for failing to report the incident.

The Titans issued a statement following Sneed’s indictment.

“We are aware of the legal matter with L’Jarius Sneed and have remained in contact with NFL security per league protocol,” the teams said, according to Titans beat reporter Paul Kuharsky. “We will have no further comment during an ongoing investigation.”

Sneed is in his sixth NFL season and second with the Titans. He played in the Titans’ first seven games this season before being placed on the injured reserve list after suffering a leg injury on Oct. 19.

Prior to Tennessee, Sneed played his first four seasons for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2020-23, where he helped KC win two Super Bowl titles in his final two seasons with the team.

For his NFL career, Sneed has 352 tackles, 43 pass deflections, 10 interceptions, 6.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and three fumbles recovered in 69 games played.
