Dan Campbell said what Eagles fans know others wouldn't dare say about Tush Push

Most NFL fans and coaches outside of Philadelphia have had a negative opinion of the

Eagles' Tush Push play, but that doesn't mean everyone thinks it should be banned.

The Eagles and Detroit Lions are preparing to play each other in the upcoming Week 11 showdown. When Lions head coach Dan Campbell was asked about the Tush Push play, Campbell wasn't fazed by going up against it.

"You take one thing out of the game, then you’re taking the next thing out of the game, then pretty soon we don’t have pads anymore, and then we’re only playing 30 minutes. A team found a niche, they’re good at it, and it’s for everybody else to stop."

Eagles fans can appreciate Campbell for stepping up and saying what others won't

It really shouldn't come as a surprise that Campbell would speak out in support of the Tush Push. The Lions were one of the 10 teams that voted against banning the play during the offseason, which helped save it.

Campbell is an old-school head coach, and fans can tell that he is all for the physicality of the game. His mindset is all about keeping football what makes the sport so great, and that's just hitting each other with our pads on.

The Eagles have quite a challenge ahead of them, as many believe the Birds and Lions could very well be a preview of the NFC Championship game. Detroit has a 6-3 record and is in a tie for first place in the NFC North, so the winner of this game might be able to stay in place for first in the conference. The loser will be on the outside looking in.
