“I’m feeling great” – Leeds man thinks he’s “finally hit the right note”

Leeds United striker Mateo Joseph has admitted he is loving life away from the club this season while on loan at Mallorca.

[Marca have an interview](https://amp.marca.com/futbol/mallorca/2025/11/13/mateo-joseph-premier-encima-liga.html) with the Leeds striker today. He was asked about various topics, including his physical situation at present.

The forward is looking to establish himself on loan at Mallorca this season. He left Leeds on loan in the summer after it was made clear he was not a part of Daniel Farke’s plans for life in the Premier League.

He’s made a solid start to life at Mallorca after joining them in the summer. Joseph is on two goals and one assists in 12 games in all competitions to date.

He thinks that’s due to some changes he’s made behind the scenes, which have been noted. Marca, for instance, stated he was looking ‘especially good physically’ and put that to him.

_“I’m feeling great,”_ he said.

_“This year I’m trying to pay a little more attention to the details, like my diet and everything. I’m very happy because it seems I’ve finally hit the right note.”_

The move to Mallorca means a return to Joseph’s native Spain. And, crucially, Mallorca allows him to be close to his hometown of Santander. A flight between the two, for instance, is around two hours at most.

That’s something he values, as well as November sunshine, which wasn’t a common occurrence back in Leeds.

_“Living here is really great,”_ he added.

_“There are places to relax, beautiful spots… And I’m delighted to be here. It’s November now and the sun is so strong I was training in a tank top just a few minutes ago. I’m also closer to Santander, which is where I’m from.”_
