So Buffalo is next on the Bucs’ schedule, a team whose fans largely believe they support one of the worst receiving corps in the NFL and a passing game that was further weakened when its top target blew a hamstring last Sunday.
That top target is tight end Dalton Kincaid. He didn’t practice yesterday and folks in Buffalo don’t expect him to play Sunday.
Second-year receiver Keon Coleman, a second-round pick last year, has been a disappointment. After a big Week 1, he hasn’t hit 50 yards receiving in a game since. Their top yardage receiver is Khalil Shaker (45 catches, 457 yards and 3 touchdowns), who is nursing a bad ankle (limited in practice yesterday) and not exactly a guy on fantasy teams nationwide.
Veteran receiver Curtis Samuel is on their roster but is washed out, not the guy fans remember in Carolina and Washington.
The Bills have gotten so desperate, they signed former Chiefs standout Mecole Hardman this week. The receiver was on the Packers’ practice squad earlier this year but was cut in September. It’s unknown if he’ll be activated for Sunday.
Despite their glaring screwups Sunday, Joe is optimistic about what the Bucs defense can do against the Bills on Sunday.
