Former Manchester United striker Mark Hughes has placed his impressive £5.5million Cheshire mansion on the market for the third time.

The expansive property covers roughly 8,892 square feet and is set within approximately two acres of grounds.

Hughes enjoyed 13 years at United during two separate periods, first breaking through as a 20-year-old in the early 1980s before rejoining Old Trafford in 1988 after spells with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

The now 62-year-old accumulated more than 450 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions, netting 161 goals throughout his time at the club.

His playing career also included periods at Chelsea, Southampton, Everton and Blackburn Rovers before retiring in 2002.

Hughes has since built a notable managerial career, overseeing the Welsh national side alongside clubs including Blackburn, Manchester City, Fulham and Southampton.
