☀️APPLE Goes Mo' Momoa, NBA on NBC Dips Again

WB sets WEBTOON series deal / AGBO sets Colin Farrell pic / 2AM Management folds

Mornin! This is Sean McNulty (connect with me on LINKEDIN here if ya likeor email me atseanmcnultynyc@gmail.com),and here’s the Hollywood + Media news to know onThursday, November 13, 2025.

Where finally some good news for NY! #BigTech has finally heard our clamoring for an energy-sucking data center to help drive up electric bills — you know how jealous we’ve been of NJ’s issue with this over the past year and then some.

Yes, ANTHROPIC is going to level us up with the bridge & tunnel crowd, announcing that it’s spending**$50B to build 2 new data centers** (the other will be in TX, which definitely has never had issues with**its own power grid**).

Plus, just think of the massive uh,800 permanent jobs that will be created by the initiative . . . across 2 states.

THEN: Tracker (8M) and DWTS (6.4M) have been the 2 biggest non-news / sports series on TV for the past 4 weeks in live/same day viewing, per NIELSEN.

ALSO: NBCSN is back! NBCU is re-launching the network on Monday, mainly as a linear home for sports games that are exclusively on PEACOCK.

YOUTUBE TV and XFINITY (COMCAST) are the 2 first bundle providers to carry it, we’ll see if more jump onboard.

OH: The uh, still illegal in the U.S.gambling site predictions market POLYMARKET is now the**exclusive prediction market partner of UFC and ZUFFA BOXING.**

AH: Gotta loveNETFLIX using “From the studio that brought you KPop Demon Hunters” in off-channel audio ads its buying for***In Your Dreams.***Welcome to the movie business, NETFLIX movie studio! Streaming service? What’s that?

Also I’m sure SONY PICTURES ANIMATION totally loves that positioning as . . . they’re not involved in that movie.

HUH: Welcome to CHEETOS and DORITOS . . .without the artificial dyes or flavors. Thanks, RFK Jr.! Ok, America, who’s totally been asking for this — time to step up at the register.

WELL: This one is fun — GOOGLE is facing a lawsuit over the company’s change last month**to give its GEMINI AI bot access to . . . pretty much everything you put in your GMAIL**(and all attachments) and chats as the, uh, default setting. 😳

Versus, ya know, perhaps sending you the option to opt-in to such a new blatant privacy invasion. Or even notifying you that this was happening, which as a GMAIL user, I certainly don’t recall last month if they did.

You are able to turn it off if you can find it in your privacy settings — something I’m sure we all totally have done.

Here’s an IG Reel I saw that**seems to cover how to turn this off**.

AND: As MTV considers its new future —**SPOTIFY is rolling out music videos on the platform in US/CAN** . . . well, sometime soon (“in the coming weeks”). They currently exist on SPOTIFY in several international territories, but only for paid subs — no details whether that’ll be the case here.

Gist is that if you’re listening to a song in the app, you could easily toggle over to the video version instead.

SPOTIFY is also launching a bougie subscription tier in 5 int’l markets today called Premium Platinum, for new subscribers only.

It’ll feature “lossless audio” if that means somethin’ to ya, and some AI DJ and playlist features.

In India, the cost is 2x the regular Premium plan.

WAKEUP BOX OFFICE POLL

It’s time to start . . . voting! Sorry, couldn’t resist — but whaddaya got onThe Running Man ?

If you’re an optimist, you’re looking at low $20M.

If you’re big on #TeamPowell, you’re around $25M+

But if you’re #TeamSubZero, some folks out there are thinking more in the $17M to $19M range.

WakeupHOUSEKEEPING

I’m deep inDISNEY earnings reports this morning, so I’ll have another speciallunchtime Wakeup edition coming your way in a bit, breaking down everything to know at the Mouse House.

And yes — the streaming subs are up, but there are some key caveats to note which are kinda being overlooked as far as I’ve seen in initial reporting. Plus, a very curious stat across DIS, PAR and NBCU in Q3 and much more soon.

FINALLY:

Kudos to Tony Arriola, Steven Kiefer & Mikkel Aranas for winning AGBO’s 5th annual No Sleep Til’ film fest, whereby folks are given a theme (this year’s was Perspective) and 48 hours to make a 3-minute (or less) short film incorporating the topic.

Here’s this year’s winner,Scratcher, from the trio (other winners are on theAGBO YT page**).
