Asda has opened a new Express store in Crystal Palace as part of its growing push into convenience shopping.

Located on Anerley Road, the new branch is among 20 Express sites the supermarket giant plans to launch across the UK before the end of the year.

The store stocks more than 3,000 products, including fresh and chilled groceries, household essentials, and meal deals.

Shoppers will also find a range of beers, wines and spirits, alongside services such as a Costa Coffee machine, ATM, and parcel collections and returns.

Food delivery options through Uber Eats, Just Eat, and Deliveroo are also available, allowing residents to shop Asda’s range without leaving home.

Asda said its Express rollout aims to reach more communities where large supermarkets are less accessible, focusing on busy urban areas and residential neighbourhoods.

Joseph Sutton, Asda’s vice president for Express, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening this brand-new store as we continue to bring Asda’s great value and range to more customers.

“From top-up essentials to convenient food on the go, we’re excited to welcome Crystal Palace shoppers.”

The chain first entered the convenience market in 2022 and has rapidly expanded since, with nearly 500 Express stores expected to be operating by early 2026.
