Eminem to be a big part of the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving game halftime show

The world will be watching and Eminem will now be a big part of it. The Detroit Lions just announced a partnership with both the Detroit rapper and his long-time manager on the annual Thanksgiving game halftime show.

Marshall Mathers and president of Shady Records, Paul Rosenberg, will be the executive producers of the Lions Thanksgiving halftime shows at Ford Field for this season, 2026 and 2027.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Marshall and Paul, who are two of the most accomplished and respected names in the music industry, not to mention longtime Lions fans,” said Detroit Lions President & CEO Rod Wood. “Their reputation in the business will attract top-tier talent and help us solidify this annual performance as one of the most anticipated cultural moments on the NFL calendar.”

The Lions host the Green Bay Packers this Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 27. The game will be on FOX and the halftime performance is also televised live.

Could Eminem also perform at the upcoming Thanksgiving Day game or one of the next three Lions Thanksgiving games?

Both he and Rosenberg were executive producers of the nationally televised Michigan Central Station concert last summer, which saw Eminem headline with four songs at the end, even though he was not announced as part of the star-studded lineup.

That concert was also produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment, who will produce the Lions Thanksgiving halftime performances.

“It’s an honor for us to team up with the Lions and be a part of the greatest tradition in Detroit sports,” said Rosenberg. “We look forward to putting together unforgettable shows featuring world-class artists for the fans at Ford Field and the tens of millions watching around the country.”

Eminem is no stranger to Lions games and he makes no secret that he is a big Lions fan. Eminem has been seen on both the sidelines and in a suite at many home games over the years.
