The Green Bay Packers are in a very interesting spot as a franchise entering the week 11 matchup against the New York Giants. Green Bay has a 5-3-1 record this season and New York has a 2-8 record this season.

With the Packers on a two-game losing streak and being the seventh seed in the NFC, there are a lot of rumblings going around with head coach Matt LaFleur being on the hot seat. One person in Green Bay’s building who could potentially be head coaching material this offseason is defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. ESPN Milwaukee reported on Wednesday,

, an NFL owner recently reached out about Jeff Hafley being a strong fit for the
head-coaching job. Could the
soon find themselves scrambling to hold on to their defensive coordinator?”
Well, they do play against each other this weekend. It will be interesting to see what teams will be interested in Hafley this offseason.

A lot of Packers fans know that the defense is not the issue with this football team, and a lot of the issues are with the offense at the moment. There are Green Bay fans who don’t want Hafley to leave. If they had a choice, they would rather keep him and get rid of LaFleur for some odd reason. This is what some of them said on Twitter:

If Green Bay does miss the playoffs this year, this could get really interesting. Maybe they would get rid of LaFleur and hire Hafley as the next head coach. Would the Packers rather do that this offseason? If Green Bay does make the playoffs, LaFleur is not going anywhere and Hafley will probably leave for a different head coaching job once this year ends.
