[Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/?ref=au) full-back Marisa Olislagers speaks perfect English – like many of her compatriots from the Netherlands.
But, if you want her dog Ollie to understand your commands, you will have to slip into Dutch.
The Holland international has been telling us what she enjoys about life in Brighton and Hove as she prepares for a big WSL date.
Olislagers will be in action for the Seagulls when they host Leicester City at the Amex on Sunday.
Marisa Olislagers visits independent business Creature Clothes with Ollie the Australian Labradoodle to browse for treats. She is supporting the American Express Shop Small campaign, which aims to support small businesses by encouraging the nation to champion their local high street and enjoy the benefits of ‘shopping small’, whatever their budget. The club sponsor American Express is the founder and principal supporter of Small Business Saturday in the UK, which takes place this year on 6 December 2025. Off the pitch, she is supporting the American Express Shop Small campaign in the run-up to Christmas.
So we asked her a few questions about what she and her four-legged friend get up to.
**Three words to describe Brighton and Hove?**
I will say cozy, nice - and beach!
**Any places you (and Ollie) particularly like?**
I sometimes go to Devil’s Dyke. I really like it. And Hove Park. Those are our favourite places to walk.
**One fact that fans would be surprised to learn about you?**
I have a Dutch dog and he only understands Dutch! He won't listen to any English. He is Ollie. He’s an Australian Labradoodle. We got him at eight weeks and that was already his name – but we like it.
**If you opened your own business, what would it be?**
Recently I have been think about doing a dog grooming business. I have been talking with friends about maybe we should do a course or something. So maybe that.
