The New York Giants are desperate for some help on offense. That’s especially the case now that rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart is likely to miss their Week 11 game against the Green Bay Packers because of a concussion.

With that in mind, the Giants are reuniting with a former wide receiver.

“A reunion: The Giants are signing Isaiah Hodgins off the [Pittsburgh] Steelers’ practice squad, per source. Six weeks after this was an obvious move, but better late than never! Hodgins knows the system and will provide a reliable target to a WR room lacking reliable targets,” Dan Duggan wrote on X.

The Giants lost their best wide receiver to injury early in the season. Being without a player of Malik Nabers’ caliber will handicap any offense.

Dart has done a great job of keeping everybody involved in the passing game. Yet the offense took another hit when rookie running back Cam Skattebo also suffered a season-ending leg injury.

Now, the Giants may have the ultimate gunslinger on the field. Jameis Winston will start over Russell Wilson, and while that speaks volumes about Wilson’s level of play, it also leaves the door open for a wild game.

Winston has one of the strongest arms in the league, and he’s never going to hesitate to sling the ball down the field. He’s going to throw some touchdowns, but not all of them might be to his team.

The Packers are riding a two-game losing streak. With all the chatter surrounding Matt LaFleur, a loss to the Giants could make things very ugly for the Packers’ head coach.
